Mission of Life Foundation

Every person, anywhere in the world, has the right to a life in which they are seen, heard, and supported. Reality presents heartbreaking situations that regular aid and healthcare services cannot always address in time. Circumstances worsen, the need grows, and (unspoken) cries for help become more frequent and complex. Who is there for you when you no longer know how to move forward? Shame and guilt can prevent people from seeking help. Or they simply don’t know where to turn. Or there is no suitable care available, or the waitinglist is too long.

What is needed is still insufficient. Life Foundation is there for the first steps—for a listening ear, for advice, and for that sandwich your child can take to school. We provide tools to strengthen self-reliance. A helping hand, social connection, people—just like you and me—together. Without judgment, without boxes or labels; for everyone of all faiths and backgrounds. Healing begins within yourself. But sometimes you first need someone to stand by you—someone who supports you without judgment, with compassion for every human being.

We are building an inclusive society with volunteers, professionals, partners, and donors, founded on strength and progress. Together, we contribute to social change, mental well-being, and a sustainable future.

What does Life Foundation do for people, animals, and nature?

We offer practical help and support wherever it’s needed: from Rotterdam throughout the Netherlands and in any country where sorrow, poverty, loneliness, or exclusion exists. Our help knows no borders, because love knows no borders. Our projects and activities focus on improving lives, restoring trust, and building a just world. Examples include:

• Support for victims of vulnerable situations: We provide guidance to people who find themselves in vulnerable situations, such as those experiencing loneliness or loss. Together, we work toward recovery and a new future.
• Assistance with poverty and social disadvantage: We help people in the Netherlands facing financial hardship, loneliness, or exclusion. Through practical help and personal attention, we build future prospects.
• Activities for the elderly: We organize inspiring daytime activities for seniors to keep them active, socially engaged, and visible in their communities.
• Faith and society: Our organization stands for peace, human rights, and equality, offering support regardless of religious background.
